Replacing gutters, fascias and soffits means working along the whole eaves line, often with long lengths of uPVC and old timber coming down. A scaffold with a platform just below the eaves lets the installer work safely and quickly along the full run.
It also makes it easy to inspect and fix the bottom row of roof tiles, felt and any rot in the rafter feet while everything is open.
What scaffold set-up you need
- A single lift at eaves height along each elevation with gutters, often front and back together.
- Edge protection above the gutter line if roof work is included.
How much does it cost?
A front-and-back scaffold on a two-storey semi for two weeks is typically £1,050–£1,700 in the South East; front only is roughly half that.

Tips
- Fit gutter guards or clear the valleys while the scaffold is up.
- Ask the fascia installer whether they use their own towers – sometimes cheaper for a single short run.
